Calendar Listings
The most popular section of the siteĀ is definitely the race calendar. It actually takes quite a bit of effort to compile the race calendar and as a result, the entries are kind of spare. We put the most important basic information in there we can, and where possible, a bit of editorializing.
The basic listing process is free for races in the New York Metropolitan area. For races outside of that area or if you would like our assistance in creating a race entry, the cost is a very low $50. We'll do everything we can to help you get your listing exactly as you like it. If your race is not already listed, you can submit it to the the site on your own. We will bill you separately for out of area listings.
If your race is already listed, you cannot edit it. However, you can submit submit a new entry and then email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to alert us that you have created a duplicate. We will remove the original entry.
Race Marketing
In addition to offering traditional banner advertising, we also provide marketing services to race directors looking to increase exposure for their events. With racing growing in popularity and the use of advanced online marketing and optimization techniques becoming increasingly relevent in a crowded market, having a specialist who understands both the market and technology allows race directors to get the most bang for their buck financially and in terms of the effort made.
Several areas we think worth focusing on are:
- Your existing Web presence - including primary Web sites and registration sites, as well as social media like Facebook and Twitter. Optimizing and improving your points of communication are key low cost steps.
- Current marketing strategies and vehicles and how they relate to your event. We're interested in knowing what you are doing and why. Only by understanding the current positioning of your event, can we start thinking about the future.
- Evaluating online and offline marketing opportunities including sites like NYCRUNS and the Google Adwords program. We believe in highly targeted, cost effective, results driven campaigns that deliver multiple exposures to potential participants.
- Event branding. Your event has a personality. Understanding that personality is key to developing that brand and getting the most out of it.
